Unemploy It of the Day: Work It, ABC’s transphobic Bosom Buddies ripoff, has been canceled effective immediately.
The universally reviled drag-com, which replaced the similarly boorish Man Up, will be pulled next week to make room for repeats of the network’s last remaining caveman procedural Last Man Standing (which appears headed for the exit itself).
Work It revolved around the misadventures of two unemployed men who dress up as women to look for work. Hilarity did not ensue.
Word of the cancellation comes less than a week after ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee defended the show’s treatment of transgender women. “We thought there was room for a very, very, very, very silly show,” he told reporters.
Thank Bob they got rid of this show. So short-sighted not to see that this was going to be problematic and down right offensive in a couple of different ways.

Hey Contributors and Followers
I have decided to retire myself as the owner and admin of this blog, I just don’t feel up to the task of running it anymore.
So I am looking for someone who would like to take this blog on, someone who believes they can make it better and who wants to stay up to date with it.
Please message me on my personal ask box if you are interested, include a bit about why you want to take over as well.
Thank you.

More gender neutral pronoun graphics. Uh… I have no idea how popular these or other pronouns are so feedback and requests would be great!
I’ve never heard of Ey or Xe. What do they mean, exactly? (Seriously, I have no idea. Not trying to be a dickface.)
Personally I use they, them, their, etc, but instead of he/she or him/her, zhe, zim, etc.
Though I fucking love xe xem xyr xyrs xemself.
So I might use those now

I REALLY NEED SOMEONE TO RECORD ‘HIR’ FOR ME
because the way i say it just sounds like ‘her’ to me

I kinda say “hir” like “hee-ir” (like “here”?)
I like xyr, wow.
What is life like for the transgender community in the world’s largest Muslim country, Indonesia? In this eye-opening documentary, shot in the scenic coastal region of South Sulawesi, we follow the lives of four waria (from the words wanita, meaning woman, and pria, meaning man): female in outward appearance, but actually biological men who believe they were born with a woman’s soul, and who are not interested in a sex change because of Islam’s teachings. TALES OF THE WARIA interweaves the stories of these waria, who encounter unique obstacles in their search for love. Suharni’s seemingly perfect relationship with her boyfriend is tested when she leaves town to find work. Mami Ria, a waria elder, struggles to revive her 18-year relationship with a police officer. Former waria Firman leads a quiet life with his wife and two kids, but still dreams of the past when he had long hair and danced with men. Guiding us through these stories is Tiara, a glamorous entertainer who secretly harbors her own heartache. What happens in the complex lives of these four brave individuals? Can they realize their dreams for a future with their male partners? Taking us to nightclubs, salons, and into the characters’ homes and hearts, this compelling documentary insightfully expands our knowledge of topics rarely discussed in depth in Western media: Indonesia, Islamic culture, and the daily life and struggles of transgender communities around the world.

LGBTQ Identities Part I - Sexual Identities
- Heterosexual: Sexual attraction towards those of a different gender.
- Homosexual: Sexual attraction towards those of the same gender.
- Bisexual: Sexual attraction towards two genders or gender the same or different to yours.
- Pansexual: Sexual attraction towards all genders.
- Polysexual: Sexual attraction towards multiple genders.
- Skoliosexual: Sexual attraction towards genderqueer or non-binary people.
- Androsexuality: Sexual attraction towards men or masculinity.
*Depending on the person they may use Androphilia. I’ve heard both used for- Gynesexuality: Sexual attraction towards women or femininity.
*Depending on the person that may use Gynophilia. So, I’m sure most of you are familiar with a similar post that included several icons that had an identity and then a simple definition underneath it. Unfortunately that post was severely problematic. It had exclusive and erasing wording and had several definitions wrong with it.
I decided to create my own with more inclusive language, less erasive language, and proper definitions. (Though definitions can vary from region to region.) These icons are not all of the LGBTQ identities out there. There are limitless identities, and these are just some of the sexual identities that I know of.
This is also not the only one of these I’ll be doing. I’ll be creating more sets. One of which will be for asexual/demisexual/grey-a identities and another will be for gender identities. Stay tuned.
I’m very open to corrections and suggestions as long as they’re not rude.
Interesting. I’d love to see corrections.

Wells Fargo’s insurance plans have covered transgender-related medical procedures for years. Also, the human resources team is trained to assist and offer support for transitioning employees as well as educate their coworkers and supervisors. Wells Fargo also has a website (Check out the Diversity Policy) for easy access to the financial powerhouse’s LGBT policies.

I’m sorry to have to post this, but the person in this video is trying to get anyone who doesn’t identify as their assigned gender to be put on a list like paedophiles. Please, report this video to YouTube. Please.

Ohio teen sentenced to 90 days for video recorded attack on gay classmate | LGBTQNATION.COM
(TW: anti-gay assault, discrimination, hate crime, heterosexism)
A judge has sentenced 15-year-old Levi Sever to a 90-day sentence in a juvenile detention center for the October assault on an openly gay classmate that was recorded on video and then posted to Facebook.
Ross County Chief Juvenile Court Judge Richard Ward handed down the sentence Wednesday to Sever, who had previously pleaded guilty to a single count of delinquency assault.
The victim, 15-year-old Zach Huston — a student at Unioto High School — suffered physical injuries as a result of the beating. His mother, Rebecca Collins, described the attack as hate motivated gay bashing.
In addition to serving a 90-day sentence, Sever was ordered to undergo mental health counseling and continue his education during his detention, said Ross County Prosecutor Matthew Schmidt.
Sever has not been attending classes at the high school since the assault first came to light and Zach’s mother launched a formal protest. However, the school’s administration has declined to reveal what disciplinary actions were taken against Sever.
The Columbus Dispatch reported that Huston and his mother, Rebecca Collins, have repeatedly alleged that school officials have not responded appropriately to their reports about bullying due to his sexual orientation.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio who is representing Huston and his mother have threatened to take legal action against the Ross County school district in Federal Court unless it immediately implements changes to protect students, especially LGBTQ pupils such as Huston from bullying.
Late Thursday, a spokesperson for the ACLU in Columbus told LGBTQ Nation that Union-Scioto School District administrators have as of yet to address the ACLU’s request, which included amending the district’s anti-bullying policy to specifically prohibit the harassment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students.

Kelly Osbourne apologizes for unintentional use of transgender slur in Glamour UK.
“The word “tr*nny” is a derogatory and hurtful word. I was completely ignorant to this and soon came to realize most of my peers and LGBT friends are, too. This is a word I will no longer use or allow. It wasn’t until I googled it after speaking with GLAAD that I found out just how unbelievably offensive it was. When friends jokingly called me that in the past, I took it as a compliment or a joke, but I couldn’t have been more wrong.”
